'06 Sangiacomo Vineyards Chardonnay, Sonoma Valley (gold medal winner at the Orange County Fair) $35/bottle
Tasting Notes: Lively aromas of tropical fruit, apple, pear, melons and citrus. It exhibits a creaminess tinged with vanilla and just a hint of oak, ending with a light earthiness. The finish is crisp and long. An enjoyable departure from over-oaked Chardonnay. If you like Chardonnay, or prefer Pinot Gris or sweeter white wines, you'll love this wine.
Vineyard Notes: The Carneros Chardonnay grapes in this wine were grown in southern Sonoma County on Catarina Ranch at Sangiacomo Vineyards. The grapes feature intense flavor due to a long, cool growing season and late maturation.
Winemaking Notes: The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and fermented in French oak. Following fermentation, the wine underwent a partial malolactic process to soften its tartness and add creaminess to the palate.

06 Los Chamizal Vineyard Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley $29/bottle
Tasting Notes: Aromas of violets, raspberry and vanilla with hints of black pepper. Medium body with flavors of berries and plum, rounding off with delightful soft tannins.
Vineyard Notes: Los Chamizal is one of California's most highly regarded Zinfandel vineyards. The grapes grow in deficient volcanic soils above the fog line, reducing vine growth and producing low yields but high quality grapes. Its unique, hillside terroir consistently produces award winning —high scoring Zinfandels famous for their concentrated spice and fruit. Los Chamizal Vineyard is also where "A Walk in the Clouds" was filmed.
Winemaking Notes: The grapes were destemmed into 1/2 ton fruit bins where they were inoculated with yeast and punched down by hand 3 times daily throughout fermentation. The wine was then transferred and aged for 20 months in French oak barrels after a short stay in stainless steel.

and soft powdery tannins.
Vineyard Notes: Hopper Creek is a six acre estate vineyard situated about one mile south of the center of Yountville and bordering on the heart of the Napa Valley. The vineyard along with the winemaker have produced many award winning wines.
Winemaking Notes: The grapes were destemmed into 1/2 ton fruit bins where they were inoculated with yeast and punched down by hand 2-3 times daily throughout fermentation. The wine was transferred and aged for 2 years in French oak barrels after pressing.
'02 Cabernet Sauvignon, Atlas Peak, Napa Valley $50/bottle
Tasting Notes: Color is a deep brick red. Rose, clove, cocoa, cassis and cedar on the nose with some anise combined with berries. The flavor profile is full of tannins and fruity acidity showing more of the dark pitted fruits with oak and tanned leather with a hint of orange zest in the midpalate supported by plum, baked fruit flavors, tea and graphite. The flavors unwind on a lasting finish with firm tannins in this medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vineyard Notes: The grapes are from a small vineyard in Atlas Peak, Napa Valley's most highly elevated, visually breath-taking, unadulterated sub-appellation. Elevation, combined with the area's climate, soils and geography create some world class fruit -- and, outstanding wines.
Winemaking Notes: This hand-crafted wine, in adherence to both tradition and quality, is unfiltered and unfined allowing maximum flavor and body. There is a small amount of sediment in the bottle resultantly.
'04 Canzona Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley $75/bottle
Tasting Notes: A fresh and appealing Cabernet, especially notable for excellent balance, structure and length. 22 months in French oak yield a wine that never jars or disturbs. It is neither underripe nor overripe, with fine tannins and gentle alcohol that allow the varietal character to come through. Delightful raspberry, black currant, plums on the palate are balanced with milk chocolate, vanilla and briary earthiness.
Vineyard Notes: Canzona wines are handcrafted in small lots and blended to achieve harmony among multiple Bordeaux varietals. The 2004 Canzona Cabernet Sauvignon originated from a vineyard on a ridge above the town of Sonoma, and the blend was finished with touches of Merlot from the family vineyard in the heart of the Sonoma Valley floor and a splash of Petit Verdot from Howell Mountain in Napa.
Winemaking Notes: Cabernet Sauvignon 75%, Merlot 24%, Petit Verdot 1%
